This is a rare Lanco Day Date Automatic watch from the 1970's.  It is in good condition and still looks like stylish, modern and familiar.  That is becuase the design is based on the iconic Rolex Day Date.   The fluted bezel, the weekday at 12 O'clock and the date at 3 O'clock are lifted straight from the Rolex Day Date.

What makes this even more speical is the blue dial.  Blue Dials tend to be more collectable and more desirable.  This model has a lovely blue dial that is just starting to get a lovely patina after 40 odd years of use.

The watch hands and batons were once coated with Tritium (hence the "T" next to swiss made at 6 O'clock).  The lume is faded now but still visable which after 40 years is magical.   The moevement is a 25 jewel Lanco movement that runs well and keeps time well.

It is finished off with an hand-made Italian leather strap that makes the watch look a modern classic.
